All IELTS results are released 13 calendar days after the test. This means that results will be released on the second Friday following a Saturday test and the second Wednesday following a Thursday test. Please note that only one copy goes directly to the candidate and all other copies must go to institutions.
Each candidate is sent one copy to the home address supplied, and has the option of applying for five additional copies of the test result form. These copies are free of charge if they are included on the application. The additional test report forms will not be sent to the candidates themselves, but to academic institutions, government agencies, professional bodies or employers that require it.
Candidates may order other additional copies at a later date, up to within two years of the test date, by submitting an additional TRF request form (PDF). An administration charge of $20.00 CAD per copy will be charged for this service. Note that your passport must be shown at the time of application for the additional copy or a scanned copy submitted along with your application.
Your additional TRF will be processed within 2-3 business days. Please note that it may take up to 3 weeks for the Recognizing Organization to acknowledge receipt of your application.
Test results are valid for two years from the date of the test.
The Test Centre cannot give advice on what test versions or scores are required by different institutions. Please contact the institution directly.
Review of Test Results
If you feel that the marks you have received are unjust, you may file an Enquiry on Results (EoR) request (PDF) to have your test remarked. Candidates wishing to request a re-mark of their results must complete the EoR form and forward it with their original Test Report Form and payment to the IELTS Administrator at their test centre. All enquiries must be made within six (6) weeks of the test date. The re-mark fee is $160.00 CAD. This fee must be sent with the EoR form.
All information related to the request for review is sent from the Test Centre to IELTS Australia within one week of receipt. Candidates are advised that the review process may take six to eight (6-8) weeks from receipt of your request.
The review is conducted by a Senior Examiner. If the review results in no change to the score, the review fee will be charged and the candidate’s Test Report Form (TRF) will be returned. If the review results in an increase to the score, the review fee will be returned and revised TRFs will be sent to the candidate and all receiving institutions.
