Entrance requirements
All new Pathway students must complete a Heartland placement test before starting the program, including students currently enrolled in another Heartland English program.
Students completing Pathway 1 must achieve the required result on the Pathway progression assessment before advancing to Pathway 2.

How to Apply
1 – Apply
Complete the Heartland online application and select Pathway. Identify the post-secondary institution you are planning to attend.
Complete Heartland’s online placement test to determine your appropriate English level.
4 – Receive your Heartland Pathway Acceptance Letter
Once you complete your application and placement, Heartland will provide your Pathway Acceptance Letter.
5 – Apply to your college or university
Apply to your intended participating partner institution and follow its admission requirements and application process*.
If students test into a Pre-Pathway level, they must complete the required Pre-Pathway level(s) before beginning the Pathway level required for their intended institution.
*Students interested in a college or university program at one of our partner schools will need to meet the admission requirements as set by their desired college or university.
