B.A., M.A., Michelle has called Winnipeg her home since 2011 and joined the Heartland team in April 2019. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Studies (with a double major in German Studies) and a Master or Arts in Literary and Media Studies from the University of Bamberg. Michelle has had previous experience in teaching German and English as a Second Language at the University of Winnipeg and received her TESL certificate in January 2019.

Michelle strives to regularly educate herself on teaching methods and theories of language acquisition. She frequently partakes in professional development conferences and enjoys discussing teaching methods with her talented Heartland colleagues. Being an avid reader, she loves to share her love of books and movies with her students. Michelle believes in lively and fun classrooms that will cater to the students’ language acquisition path, so you will often hear laughter coming out of her classroom!
