A little bit of Romeo and Juliet

Friday, May 8th, 2020 – Heartland students, staff and friends enjoyed a lesson in Shakespeare from Shakespeare in the Ruins’ Artistic Director Rodrigo Beilfuss, who demystified the English playwright.

 

 

Shakespeare is accessible! We all learned a lot about how the famous author created his beautiful sonnets, what the poetry rules of iambic pentameter are and which words and phrases we use today that Shakespeare actually invented.  We look forward to visiting the Shakespeare in the Ruins for a performance as soon as we can!
