New Pathway Requirements for ACC and PACE

To ensure that Heartland Pathway Program students applying to Assiniboine Community College (ACC) and Professional, Applied and Continuing Education (PACE) at the University of Winnipeg are well prepared in their English ability before they start their program, Heartland and ACC and PACE have agreed to the following level requirements:

Assiniboine Community College (ACC) Pathway

Pathway students for ACC must now complete 10 weeks at the Advanced 2 level for cohort programs in Winnipeg, and 20 weeks of the Advanced 3 level for base programs in Brandon. Students must also now obtain an average of 80% or higher in their program.

This applies to new students applying to Heartland as of October 10, 2019. Current Heartland ACC Pathway students, and students who applied previous to October 10, 2019 for the Heartland ACC Pathway program are not affected by this change. They are still be permitted to use their Pathway Program Advanced 1 scores for Winnipeg Cohort programs, or Advanced 2 scores for programs in Brandon with an average of 75% or higher.

 

PACE (Professional, Applied and Continuing Education) at the University of Winnipeg

Pathway students for PACE (Professional, Applied and Continuing Education) at The University of Winnipeg, must complete 20 weeks of Advanced 3 level at Heartland. This applies to all new students applying as of September 6th, 2019. Current Heartland ACC Pathway students, and students who applied previous to September 6, 2019 for the Heartland ACC Pathway program are not affected by this change. They are still be permitted to use their Pathway Program Advanced 2 scores with an average of 80% or higher.
