The Heartland Semi-Intensive Program offers a half-day immersive English experience. This is an ideal schedule for students who are studying English for general interest and are perhaps working, or have other daily commitments. Our part-time program is inclusive of all levels from Entry to Advanced.

    • Teachers use material from the textbook as well as external, supplemented exercises. Each teacher uses unique teaching methods and creates lesson plans specific to the level they are teaching. Some online classes may also offer additional assignments.

    • Students will  have the same homeroom teacher every day of the week. This is great for consistency. Students and teachers will get to know each other well, and student progress is therefore easily assessed.

    • For our Regular Day Program there is one break in the day, from 10:30am – 10:45am. At 12:00pm, students are finished for the day.  They are welcome to stay and eat lunch with their friends at the school, but they must leave by 1:00pm when full-time students begin class again. Evening class students have a break at 7:30pm – 7:45pm.  Once class is over at 9:00pm, students online will be finished and the class will end. Students in person will need to leave the school as the building will be closed for the night.

    • Students take a placement test on their first Monday in order to determine their level.  They join their first class the following Tuesday morning.
